It’s our silver anniversary—EnTech is proud to announce that we’ve reached 25 years of delivering urgent projects and innovative solutions to clients throughout the New York metropolitan area and the United States.
To kick off our anniversary celebration, we’re looking back at a few of the many highlights from EnTech’s first quarter century. We’re grateful for these valuable memories, which range from small but important projects to transportation programs of major regional significance. Thank you to all our employees, partners, and clients, past and present, who have been part of this exciting journey.
EnTech Engineering, PC is founded in Staten Island, NY.
September 2000
The firm’s first contracts include environmental services for a long-term project at the former Edgemere Landfill on the Rockaway peninsula.
January 2007
EnTech moves to its first Manhattan office, at 11 Broadway.
July 2007
In our largest project yet, EnTech is a key subconsultant for the $612 million replacement of the Willis Avenue Bridge.
May 2010
In one of the firm’s first roles as a prime consultant, EnTech leads REI services for a project to upgrade sidewalks and pedestrian ramps in the Bronx.
April 2013
EnTech provides BIM services for the Second Avenue Subway, in the first major project for our recently created Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team.
December 2014
EnTech expands operations in New Jersey, with projects including inspection services at the Passaic River Bridge.
December 2015
EnTech reaches 100 employees!
May 2017
The firm’s Design and VDC divisions begin work as a major subconsultant for the widening of the Van Wyck Expressway.
June 2017
We move to our current headquarters in Lower Manhattan, and eight years later, the view has not gotten old.
October 2017
Our traffic engineering team begins supporting the $19 billion redevelopment of JFK International Airport. In the following years, EnTech will work on the new Terminal 1 and Terminal 6, expansion of Terminal 4, and the overall redevelopment.
December 2017
The NYCDEP’s Wastewater Resiliency Program spans scores of projects across the five boroughs. EnTech contributes extensive virtual design and construction (VDC), design, and CM support.
January 2018
EnTech leads geotechnical instrumentation services for the Northeast Boundary Tunnel, in Washington, DC–our largest project outside the greater NYC area.
September 2019
EnTech reaches 200 employees!
January 2021
ASHE NY Metro awards Project of the Year for a $90 million reconstruction project at the Henry Hudson Bridge, with EnTech leading the REI team.
July 2022
EnTech’s environmental team begins a major contract with the MTA to provide asbestos and lead consulting services for dozens of projects across the NYCT system.
February 2023
EnTech joins the preliminary design team for the replacement of the Newark AirTrain system, providing civil design and program management services.
June 2023
The Grand Concourse Reconstruction, Phase IV reaches substantial completion, with EnTech leading REI services.
May 2024
EnTech expands into Long Island, opening an office in Jericho.
January 2025
We get quite the view, leading the PMC team for major painting and lighting improvements at the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, a $128 million design-build project.
