The Fulton Mall retail corridor is Brooklyn’s most popular shopping district. To improve pedestrian safety and experience in the area, the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (NYCDPR) is reconstructing the streetscape along Fulton Street between Boreum Place and Flatbush Avenue, which is closed to private vehicles and experiences heavy pedestrian traffic. The scope of work includes roadway, sidewalk, and curb improvements, as well as the installation of new benches, plants, and trees.
EnTech is managing CM services, which includes overseeing the implementation of precise maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) plans to protect the public in the crowded corridor. The team coordinates and monitors contractor work, including night shifts, and verifies compliance with client standards. The firm manages coordination with on-site MTA inspectors who monitor work to prevent interference with the corridor’s many belowground transit structures.
