Delta Airlines is redeveloping JFK International Airport Terminal 4, a major Delta hub which averages over 160 domestic and international flights daily. The high-visibility project, part of the broader redevelopment of the airport, consolidates the airline’s JFK operations into a single terminal with 150,000 sf of terminal space, 10 new aircraft parking positions, and improved passenger amenities.
EnTech provided on-site CM and construction oversight services to support the multiphase construction, including directly supporting Delta’s in-house design and construction division as an owner’s representative, in a staff augmentation capacity. EnTech served as a liaison among stakeholders to resolve day-to-day construction and scheduling conflicts and to facilitate on-time task completion, while minimizing the construction’s impact on ongoing Terminal 4 operations. EnTech’s project managers, superintendents, and project engineers monitored schedules and budgets. EnTech staff managed on-site construction activities, overseeing trade contractors, verifying that equipment and materials met specifications, and coordinating work at Terminal 4 with other major projects across JFK. EnTech’s team proved vital for the on-time completion of tasks in this extremely fast-paced project.
