The New Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport is a state-of-the-art, 1 million-sf, 33-gate facility designed to meet increasing passenger volumes and traveler needs for years to come. Built to meet LEED Silver standards, the new terminal was accompanied by extensive landside and airside redevelopment, utility improvements, airfield modifications, and new parking garages. EnTech provided a wide range of services for this major new terminal, working under multiple contracts.
The firm provided resident engineering, construction inspection, and cost estimation services as a member of the CM team for this major project. EnTech’s work included managing the fit-out of tenant spaces in the new terminal building, including concessions, airline lounges, holdrooms, and restrooms; and monitoring the installation of fire alarm and security systems throughout the terminal.
EnTech provided a wide range of traffic engineering services, including preparing maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans and designing roadway appurtenances, pavement markings, signing, and parking lots. EnTech additionally provided BIM services for airside and landside areas, including the construction of eight roadway bridges, elevated and at-grade frontage roads, and 140 acres of the airfield.
