The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) manages more than 5,000 properties throughout the city, including municipal parks, recreation centers, nature centers, administrative buildings, athletic fields, and historical monuments. Through this on-call contract, EnTech has managed CM services for numerous construction, expansion, and rehabilitation projects to upgrade, expand, rehabilitate, and generally meet the individual needs of these parks and facilities.
EnTech’s work includes CM and REI services for dozens of projects across the five boroughs. The scope of services includes preconstruction review and estimating services, construction supervision and inspection, contract administration, technical support, and post-construction and closeout services. The firm reviews design drawings and outlines specifications to address any engineering issues, construction practices, and availability of materials. The team issues recommendations of alternative materials where applicable, construction systems and overall constructability, scheduling, and analysis. The team also coordinates construction with adjacent buildings and properties.
EnTech’s CM services have been supplemented by the firm’s environmental engineering team, which has additionally contributed services such as hazardous material remediation oversight and air monitoring.
