New York City’s public parks supply a majority of the city’s public restrooms, and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) is seeking to increase its stock of accessible, safe, and sanitary restrooms. To test a cost-effective solution, NYCDPR is installing compact, prefabricated comfort stations in five parks across the city: Father Macris Park, in Staten Island; Irving Square Park, in Brooklyn; Joyce Kilmer Park, in the Bronx; Hoyt Playground, in Queens; and Thomas Jefferson Park, in Manhattan.
EnTech is leading CM services for site preparation and installation of the structures. The firm is responsible for planning and supervising project operations, ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, and overseeing quality control. EnTech also supervises the seamless installation and connection of utilities, which require precise alignment with the prefabricated building template.
