EnTech recently celebrated the opening of the Bath Beach Park playground, in Brooklyn, following a $5 million renovation. EnTech served as the construction manager for the project, which replaced a dilapidated playground and asphalt field with a new playground and fitness area. The project included new lighting, plantings for shade and aesthetics, drinking fountains, water supply, drainage, curbs, safety surfacing, and fencing.

On hand recently for the ribbon cutting were New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) Brooklyn Borough Commissioner Martin Maher, NYC City Council member Justin Brannan, State Senator Iwen Chu, members of Brooklyn Community Board 11, and neighborhood residents, as well as members of the EnTech project team

“Parks and recreation areas are so important for southern Brooklyn families and residents. With these long overdue renovations, Bath Beach Park playground becomes a safer and more enjoyable space for community members that have long loved the park,” said Chu. “I’m thrilled for our Bath Beach families.”

The project at Bath Beach Park is only one of EnTech’s current CM projects with the NYCDPR. The firm is also supporting park improvement projects at Cadman Plaza Oval, in Brooklyn; St. Mary’s Park Recreation Center, in the Bronx; Socrates Sculpture Park, in Queens; and Owl Hollow Field, in Staten Island, among others.
