Manhattan’s East Side has become prone to flooding due to sea level rise and extreme weather events. To mitigate stormwater runoff and prevent localized flooding, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) is installing bioswales and planting street trees at 120 locations, which collect and manage stormwater, reducing the frequency and severity of sewer overflows during heavy rain.
EnTech is overseeing field and administrative activities in coordination with contractors and NYCDPR representatives to ensure work complies with contract documents, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and established quality standards. The team is responsible for maintaining rigorous quality assurance and quality control. EnTech facilitates clear coordination between the contractor and the client; manages progress meetings; and maintains comprehensive reporting of project progress.
