We are excited to announce that the North Hudson Sewerage Authority’s (NHSA) Park Avenue Green Infrastructure project has been recognized with an Engineering Excellence Award from the New Jersey Chapter of ACEC.

EnTech was the prime REI consultant for the project, which constructed 10 right-of-way bioswales along Park Avenue in Weehawken and West New York, NJ. These installations collect and filter stormwater at the source. In doing so, they reduce flooding from heavy rainfall, mitigate sewer overflows, and improve water quality. By providing green spaces on city streets, they additionally reduce the urban heat island effect.

This is the second award won by the project, which previously earned a Distinguished Engineering Award from the NJ Alliance for Action.
