Richmond Terrace Wetland Park CM

To increase the public green space in the Mariners Harbor neighborhood of northwestern Staten Island, New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) developed the new Richmond Terrace Wetland Park on an undeveloped waterfront site. The park includes an overlook pier extending into the Kill Van Kull strait, paths, seating, and landscaping.

As the prime CM consultant, EnTech led construction supervision services, including construction inspection and administration. The scope of work included riprap installation along the shoreline, drinking fountains, hydrants, plumbing, and stormwater infrastructure. Work also included the installation of a new sidewalk, curb, barrier railing, and street traffic lighting.

EnTech ensured construction conformed to contract specifications and safety requirements. Notably, the CM team leveraged its extensive construction oversight experience to coordinate and monitor the installation of concrete piles, which were driven 30 feet into the ground to create a deep foundation for the pier.

EnTech coordinated with all relevant parties to resolve design questions and review and process change orders, leading the project to on-time completion.
